Jason Cole and I, riding instructors at our family horse farm, South Forty Farms, have been asked to teach a youth and novice showing clinic in Franklin, KY on June 26th. The event is from 10 am until 5 pm, and we are extending invitations to all to attend. Deweese Farms, of Franklin, KY is hosting the event, as they have a beautiful indoor riding arena that will fit everyone comfortably, and allow us to hold this event rain or shine! The only charge that we are asking is $10 per horse. If you want to travel without your horse, you're more than welcome to as well, as anyone that comes without a mount is free of charge. We do require that current Coggins and health certificate be presented before unloading horses. In the clinic, we will talk about show ring attire, the different gaits called for in the ring, what the different classes are (and what they mean), and we'll expose any interested to our vast array of obstacles. Jason, Diane (my mother), and I have taken on the task this year of building up a fleet of obstacles, and we will have them in tow at the clinic. Obstacles will be both ones used in showing, and those used in rated trail. We hope to have many interested! Also, during lunch break (lunch is provided), we are happy to invite any who have horses that need to be certified to come on down. We have lined up examiners to attend and help with this process! I have just added our "flyer" to our website, and you can find it at: If this link does not work, I do have it in a file that I can send through email. Please feel free to call us with any questions, and we do request an RSVP by June 20th! Thanks so much, Click Here to download the Clinic Flyer
